Arnold Lupson, over the decades, took hundreds of photographs of people from the Tsuut’ina, Nakoda and Blackfoot First Nations in Alberta. Though he built a cabin on the Tsuut'ina Nation for Maggie Big Belly, he himself could only visit there due to the Indian Act. I am honoured to curate the Lupson photo exhibition at The Nickle Galleries in Calgary, as part of the Indigenous Archival Photo Project. The exhibition opens October 10.
More details to come.
